July 31st, 2025: Last day of July. I woke up at 7:00am and just stayed in bed for a while until I finally got up and brewed myself some coffee and had more cereal. I got on my computer and started off the day by playing more Holdfast, completing some achievements and other stuff. I wrote in my blog a bit before it came to be 9:30am when I realized I accidentally missed therapy for today so I texted my therapist at 9:44am:
>I’m so sorry, can we do Friday instead?
<Yes.
<915?
>Yes!
>I have it in my calendar
<Thx!
I got to work at 9:56am and saw that Tiffany was on the schedule for 10:00am to 4:00pm, fAsherah was on it from 3:00pm to 7:15pm, the Noahmusic guy was currently working while wearing a Skibidi Toilet tshirt. I saw that we had a huge load in the back that Jesse, John, Max, and Will were all working on counting all the items on the wooden pallets and either sending them up or out. Tiffany came in at 10:20am and I told her that she was late and that she needs to come earlier, I was met with this diatribe:
“Gemerson stop looking at the schedule, what if I went back there and looked at your schedule?”
I quipped back:
“Go ahead, you can look at my schedule and call me out whenever I am late to work, because I never am.”
She replied:
“Challenge accepted!”
I clocked in at 10:22am. I packed a ton of the cookies and pastries for one half of the store I sent that out and then started unpacking that with John. The dubstep guy was mysteriously absent and I heard a few jokes fly about that. I got the cart unpackaged and then started on the beverage cooler because it was my first task when Jesse came to me and told me to work on the load first before starting on the other tasks. I completed the one for the pasta, oils, and condiments before heading back to stock the cooler. I was told by Jesse to help unload in the warehouse, John and I got that done before I went on my lunch break. I ordered a prosciutto sandwich and ate that while Jill was talking with her relative. I browsed Xitter some more before finally getting off my break. I had some more tasks like sweeping every stairwell in the building which I got done in a decent amount of time. I skipped the stairs that only a few people use because I didn’t need to do it. A bit into cleaning a touch downstairs, I had to get this spray bottle from the janitors closet with the keys and when I went to put it back there was a couple in the way of the drawer so I told them:
“Excuse me!”
They didn’t listen.
“Excuse me!”
They finally moved out of the way and I put it back. Tiffany then said to me while laughing and twirling her hair.
“Gemerson, why are you so rude to people?”
I replied:
“I was not rude, I asked them to get out of the way!”
I had to sweep and mop upstairs for my next task which was tolerable with the drymop, I had some issues bringing up the mop bucket with the soapy water. When I got done mopping up the place. I took the bucket and the rolling mop bucket outside and dumped the dirty water directly into the sewer grate and then marked that off of my list. I went up to fAsherah and told her about Tiffany being late and she sighed. I went on my first break and bought some spongecakes and handed them out to people like Krystal, Tiffany, Noahmusic, fAsherah and Anne. I ate the remaining 5. One interesting addition to my list was the cleaning of the vestibule windows in my closing task list, bringing it up to 8 tasks I had to do (Thank you John for making it basically 6) and I already had cleaned the vestibule on my task list beforehand. I cleaned the cooler windows before going on break. I wrote in my blog more before starting on my closing tasks at 5:02pm. I did the backroom floor first, breakroom and bathrooms together, then garbages, at this point, I saw Old Ozzy Osborne eating and then hitting his vape inside, he went up to order something from and I offered my condolences afterwards. I did the vestibule window followed by taking down outside and finally facing. There was a Catholic event going on at 7:00pm that I took the bus up to and then walked 5 minutes to. I got in to see all the people and sat down opposite of Ava, we said hi to each other and I went to go get my free beer while Peach was also dressed funny. The person serving beer was none other than a friend of my sister who was in the grade in between us. She was nice enough to give me a free beer bratwurst as a compliment and I went back to drink with Ava. I got one of those dark beers while she got a ginger ale due to her being the designated driver. She told me she had a brother and 2 sisters, her brother wished he had another brother and I felt the same sentiment as him. I asked her about the upcoming retreat and she said she would be there but she didn’t know much else about the others going there. I then saw Liseuxa in line to get a beer. I tried to wave to her but she didn’t notice me. The girl from the last beer event came to sit next to Ava and they talked about the sisterhood. Ava recently went on a retreat where a bunch of women camped with nuns to help with discernment. Ava was open to the concept but her friend (the one whose parents were from Kerala) was going with the married life. I didn’t see Liseuxa around for a while so I must have scared her off. I saw the first guy I talked to at these events and then I finally met this guy with the same first name as me and he got super excited. We got a picture together when I went back to talking with Ava when Lisexua finally came over to sit down at my picnic table. She got a giant pretzel, asking me if I could help get her a free polish sausage. I tested my luck and the bartender let me get it for free so we cut it in half. There was a field of Liseuxa’s nearby who I will be calling Chagal. He told me he was in his mid 30s while I was 21, he went to MIT near Boston and now works in the field of E-Commerce, he then told me:
“You’re lucky pal that you still have a high metabolism.”
Liseuxa ended up mentioning her volunteering at the 2023 World Youth Day in Portugal guiding all the people to their confessions in many different languages. She told me that I should volunteer for the one in Seoul, South Korea that’s happening in 2027. She also mentioned how her sister was married to this Irish guy and they go to Ireland a good amount. I asked her if she was considering becoming a nun like Ava would, (I pointed at Ava and they talked a bit) she told me:
“Well if I don’t get married at a certain age then I will.”
She’s 37. Later Liseuxa mentioned something about going to Noah’s Ark next Wednesday, which I would have loved. I have never been there. I then left around 9:00am and walked back home in the forest and got back at 9:30am. I argued with my mom over text because I was frustrated that she was being so vague with where we were going camping and when the pickup would be. I talked with the girl I went on a date with and she talked about how her friend who lost some weight relapsed and ate a whole box at Taco Bell. The girl I went on a date with also ordered a whole box for herself which I found kinda cute. Well she invited me to hang out with her friends and she would drive me to Beaver Dam for it, I accepted. I then went to take a shower. I checked KiwiFarms to find that Bucephalus replied to my post which said:
>I'm listening to this, how does anybody with a soul like Melanie Martinez.

<You are a detestable little worm. Go and writhe in the mud with the rest of your ilk.

August 1st, 2025: First day of August today, I woke up at 6:30am and had myself some breakfast with coffee. I played a round of Holdfast before I went down a rabbit hole for the Sharpe series because the Holdfast video game references it a lot. I felt kind of nostalgic for a time that was just over 200 years ago. At 8:20am, I had to head over to therapy with my drawstring bag to hold the medication to pick up. I decided to walk all the way over there through the fancy neighborhood, down these two alleys, and through a senior living facility to get to the therapy building. I went in there a bit early and I saw my therapist at 9:10am so we started early. We mostly focused on what goals I wanted to achieve and I didn’t have much. She brought up not talking to Asherah and Lizzo anymore so I had to correct her that it was the inverse. A bit later she brought up her son moving into a new apartment near me, he’s 26 and I asked her:
“How many kids do you have?”
She replied:
“2 kids, would you want to have any kids?”
I answered honestly:
“Yes.”
She then asked:
“How many?’
I actually would like to have 7 kids but I decided to lowball things relative to what I wanted, but higher than the average 2 kids per family for secular families.
“I want to have 3 kids.”
I watched her reaction like a hawk, she seemed kind of shocked that I want to have 3 kids, I then talked about possibly having 4 kids, hopefully to have 2 sons and 2 daughters so my children wouldn’t complain about not having a brother or a sister, she was more supportive of that idea, maybe because she actually liked it or I warmed her up to the idea of having more than 2 kids. She tried to get me on anti-depressants again but I shot it down. I then signed a paper for what our plan was for my goals before leaving at 9:38am. I got a cup of coffee at this coffee place nearby. and I saw none other than that famous freshman’s older sister who was in the grade below me. I said hi to her and asked how her brother was doing, she said he’s now in the military, I asked what branch and she said something related to being a medic. I got a scone to go with it and paid $10 for the thing. I ate my scone and drank my latte while learning that the girl I had recently gone on a date with before walking over at 9:55am, I got there at 10:20am and then clocked in at 10:24am and got to work. I saw that Tiffany came in later at 3:00pm but I first worked on the beverage cooler. I was informed online that it was Girlfriend’s Day and a bunch of people I knew and hardly knew on social media posted theirs, with the girlfriend reposting it on their Instagram stories, I remember seeing Rose and Kaitlin get theirs posted. Geno posted something for her “girlfriend” but the thing with women is that they call their women friends “girlfriends” but usually as a plural, plus Geno is on the bigger side so it would be correct to make fat lesbian jokes. I saw Lebanon was back and wearing glasses now, from him talking to Krystal I found out they were needed instead of just an aesthetic. I asked Anne if they had any deliveries for me and she said none. I completed the beverage cooler then went to work on the beverage aisle to stock that because Jesse put it on my list, he put sweeping the stairways again, wiping the vestibule windows for my closing tasks again, and the shelf tag thing. For lunch I bought 3 boxes of pasta, some porcini mushroom sauce, and the actual lunch, calabrian gnocchi all in one order to get the most out of my 10% discount, which ended up being $32.53 in total. I ate the gnocchi before sweeping the stairway, while doing that I started on the attic one when Jesse told me:
“We’re gonna be sending stuff up and down the stairs so you can skip this one.”
I replied:
“Wait, do you need help sending stuff up?”
He replied:
“No we don’t.”
I did all the stairways and then got halfway done with the tag thing when it was 3:00pm. I went on break and watched as Tiffany didn’t show up, Sabrina was here though. I texting fAsherah:
>Tiffany’s late again…
<I Have Shock
She came in later and I told her to come in early earlier and she said:
“Gemerson what the fuck is your problem with me!”
I then replied to her text:
>I called her out for being late again.
At 3:43pm, I saw James the Great’s Girlfriend’s day post which was a post of Hatsune Miku hugging a plush of herself with the text:
<Happy girlfriend day to my one and only
I instantly replied:
>Oh my goodness!
Well he’s still miles better than Enosh. I didn’t have much to do until closing when I listened to this Black guy play this Black supremacist video which said:
“...White people are inferior…”
In the middle of the breakroom without any headphones. I worked on my tasks and Tiffany gave me some brownie stuff that she found outside with a lid on it. I got into a verbal dispute with a guy who wouldn’t get out of the way of me scrubbing the floor. I took the bus home and then watched the first episode of the Sharpe series, Sharpe’s Rifles, you can watch it on YouTube for free. I absolutely loved it and it had a wholesome vibe to it unlike newer television shows despite the French wiping out nearly an entire battalion of English soldiers camped out. I played more Holdfast while eating the off brand Takis with the bamboo chopsticks. I was unlucky enough to accidentally spill some so I threw it in the bathroom trash and vigorously washed my hands to get rid of the red dust. I took a shower with and completed all of my July blog entries to get a grand total of 45662 words, 234395 characters, and 189661 characters excluding spaces. I am so proud of myself. That’s an entire 4812 word increase not accounting for the extra day in July nor the CEO’s constant rambling at meetings.

August 2nd, 2025: Woke up at 6:30am today and ate the last of the fruity pebbles and had some more coffee to go with it. I then got on my desktop and opened up Holdfast and played a round of Frontlines on Invasion as the attackers. I got dressed for work but I also wanted to have some of the cooked pasta today, I grabbed my lunchbox and washed out my red ceramic bowl, and put it in my drawstring bag. I then hopped on the bus at 8:45am, I got into work and then clocked in at 9:25am. My work load for today was much closer to normal, as I had to stock the beverage cooler first. I was on my phone when I saw a Snapchat story by James the Greater which had:
<1 more week before you must fear me again
We then had this conversation:
>Are you coming home then?
<Next Saturday
>Ok! I’ll make sure to deep clean the apartment.
<You don't gotta go that far, but it is appreciated
>Thank you!
<yessir
I’m gonna spend my entire Wednesday working on cleaning up the apartment, getting that reusable shopping bag of cords and wires out of the way, also turn the bookshelf to be more of a bookshelf, clean up the coffee table, the broken mirror container under said coffee table, the shelf in the kitchen, and probably some other stuff. I did the first side of the beverage cooler sheet and then moved onto the other half, while down there I saw Hill and said hi to him. My next task was to bring some salad dressing down so I wrote it in my clipboard, put it on a pallet, and then took it down to unload. I then put them all on the shelf. In the back, Tony was kind enough to give me a fresh mozzarella stick for me to eat. I bought this amaretto flavored chocolate and the arrabbiata pasta from Sabrina and then clocked out for my break. I ended up eating 3 of the 8 squares that came with the thing. Sabrina got one but she had to check if it had nuts in it but only peanuts, she loved them and enjoyed the flavor of the chocolate, remarking that she usually gets an amaretto shot in her coffee. (To Do: Get one of those flavor shot things for my home, preferably irish cream so I can placebo effect myself into going to work drunk.) I gave another one to the Noahmusic2009 guy, another one to Lebanon, one for Anne. And I still had some more to give out, I asked Krystal if she wanted any but she sadly didn't. At 12:07pm I texted Liseuxa asking:
>How did you sign up to volunteer for World Youth Day in 2023?
She replied at 12:10pm
<World youth day website
I double checked but couldn’t find it still, I mean it’s 2 years away so I don’t need to worry. I filled up my bowl with 2 cups of water then added the pasta mix before putting it in the microwave for 3 minutes, I went to buy some milk to drink and then went back to put it on for another 3 minutes. I saw that although Tiffany was supposed to come in at 1:00pm, she came in around 15 minutes after that and when I was up front I told her:
“Look’s like someone’s late again.”
She was upset:
“Get out of my face Gemerson.”
She was over a meter away from me. Lol, I ate all of my pasta during my break and around this time, Tiffany came upstairs and I offered her the last square of the amaretto flavored chocolate, she passed. I got off break and gave Jesse the last square. I had to sweep outside where the dumpsters were, surprising amount of broken fluorescent tubes there, I went back in and went on my second 15 minute break, Tiffany was taking hers at the same time as me, Anne brought her a bag of cat food, I asked her if she had cats, she said she had 3 and their names were Jinx, Loki, and Apollo, She showed me pictures of Jinx, the black kitten, and Loki the common tabby, but she couldn’t find any pictures for Apollo. Later on Tiffany asked me why I always had problems with her so I told her:
“I’ll stop bothering you if you come to work on time one day that we both work.”
She told me she was just kidding. At 4:29pm I had this conversation with fAsherah:
>This Black employee in the deli yesterday was listening to Black supremacist videos yesterday in the break room without any headphones.
<Like yakub ass stuff or ?
>I remember hearing “White people are stupid!” And stuff
>He’s the employee with the wooden bead necklace.
<I mean idk if id call that black supremacist, depending on what it was about it couldve been "white people dont season their food" kinda more harmless stuff
>It wasn’t the “White peoples don’t season their food stuff.”
>I don’t remember it exactly but it sounded much less tame than that.
I got started on closing tasks and then completed them. When I was getting out, I saw The Noahmusic2009 guy getting Hartley V.S.O.P brandy. I got out at 5:55pm to take the bus home. I stayed home for a while but then decided to go grocery shopping. I got off at the stop and saw a plastic black cart that I pushed back into the cart return. I walked around and saw this Black couple with a very fat wife and 2 kids. I got artisanal vanilla ice cream, a 12 pack of root beer, and a 5 pack of Yakult yogurt drinks. I got screwed over by the bus times so I only got home after 7:45pm. I turned on the television and watched more YouTube videos. I watched a portion of this video on a Chinese history iceberg before heading into my room to play some Holdfast Nations at War. I got one round on Fort Pierre as the defenders, which ended at 8:43pm but thank the Lord I did amazing, 44 kills and 13 deaths, the most kills in the server due to extreme luck with bayonet combat.

I had a can of root beer to go with gaming before getting in the shower and then going to sleep.

Song of the Day: La Serenissima - Rondò Veneziano (1981)

August 3rd, 2025: Sunday today, otherwise known as the Lord’s day. (Unless you’re a 7th Day Adventist like a certain cousin of mine) I awoke at 6:15am but got up at 6:45am to get my breakfast and some coffee. I then went on the computer for a bit until I had to get on the bus and take it to work. I got off and saw that fAsherah was on today later in the day while I was on later on while Sabrina was on earlier. I got in and started off with filling up the beverage cooler. It was pretty ok because it was not that empty, and the other half of the beverage cooler was not that empty either. I was on my phone quite a bit talking to the Blue haired girl and browsing Twitter, I saw a theory on Xitter that the United Kingdom was underreporting their population by a lot, well over 70 million when official census estimates report 66,940,559 people in 2021. Another one was the laws by the surveillance obsessed freakshow lawmakers United Kingdom which went into effect on August 1st that required ID verification online. I am glad that I don’t live there because ID verification over the internet is much less safe and convenient as compared to doing it in person. And now other countries in the Anglosphere are trying to do it now, YouTube using AI to guess people’s age. I know it isn’t because they want to protect kids from internet addiction, they’re just testing the waters with more internet surveillance. I went to the warehouse to grab more stuff I needed, along the way I saw Lebanon still wearing his glasses. My throughout-the-day task was checking on the garbages once every 2 hours. I never had to empty them once because it would always get full in between the times I checked them, especially at 1:00pm when we were the most busy. I had to stock one half of the entire store again for my 3rd task. I went upstairs to go on break number 1 before heading down to start with writing up the list of what I needed to get. I talked to Krystal and told her:
“Thank you for the white chocolate cannoli!”
She somewhat acknowledged me. I went upstairs and put all the food on the pallet before taking it to the floor. It was very crowded at this time and I worked through unloading it all with little room to spare. It took me very long but I got that task done before my lunch break. I bought a container of pasta and meatballs along with some milk to go with it and waited in line while the Noahmusic2009 guy was checking others out. I got in and then went upstairs for my lunch break, coincidentally at the same time as Hill did, he was watching something on his phone that I could hear in the break room, but I continued on with my day and next worked on vacuuming upstairs before I was told to move a bunch of Galvinina (fancy sodas) in the warehouse from the top and bottom shelf to the middle shelf to make it easier to access. Once I completed that, I lifted up the 2 metal grate’s on the bottom shelf and grabbed a broom to sweep up all the dust and other junk below it. I went downstairs to grab the hand vacuum to clean up in between the cracks of the wooden panels that are screwed into the ground and got a lot of it out, I only had to clean the tiny filter once, after that time I accidentally got some dust sprayed on my pants so I cleaned them off and then swept up more outside. I saw Biker’s girlfriend in the store once and around 3:00pm, I didn’t see fAsherah but as Sabrina was leaving at this time she said:
“Bye Gemerson!”
While doing the single finger goodbye wave, the same one that Asherah does.

I’m never allowed even a joke form of closure. I went back to work and saw that fAsherah wasn’t there and had her name crossed off the list by Anne today. I had the extra task of stocking the spice shelf and it was extremely long writing the pull list. It came time for me to start on closings so I did facing half the store, scrubbing in the back while Tony was playing music over where he worked, I then got the stuff from outside inside, and finally drymopped the store. I saw 3 pregnant women today, super surprising. I finally clocked out at 6:55pm and quickly catched the bus to go home. On the bus I saw this brown haired short woman whose mother clearly drank with her while pregnant, wearing a “women don’t owe you shit” t-shirt, meaning she’s a Drew Afualo fan, with the typical male feminist with the pornstache and stubble to go with it. I got back and checked my mention’s on KiwiFarms to find these 3 messages:
<@Gemerson You shiwis are pretty cool. Don't come to the shiwi tomorrow.

And another one by the first guy:

Bucephalus compared me to Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon, safe to say it gave me a chuckle. I got dressed to usher for mass and walked to church, I passed out the pamphlets with this Southeast Asian woman who was new here, remember that Black guy a long time ago who harassed me for sandwich money, well 2 or 3 weeks ago, (probably 3 weeks), he blocked this couple from going into church and usually does that, the church has called the police on him and tried to get a restraining order on him to no avail. Joseph came up to me and hugged me because I wasn’t here the last 2 weeks, he said:
“Gemerson, we were gonna cancel the mass because you weren’t here!”
I saw this cute girl wearing a green dress with a black tank top over it. The guy with 2 kids who got attacked once came in with a Soul Eater shirt. Lucas came in with his wife and I was the usher in charge of counting all the people there at the 1st reading. I sat down next to the new usher and I saw Tapper nearby. He looks like he’s a World War 2 veteran but he’s just slightly too young to be one. I forgot what the homily was on and I also forgot when we were supposed to go up to hand out the baskets to collect money, was it after the universal prayer or a bit later than that. Turns out it was after that and I went up with the money into the back, I showed the lady how to do the bag drop thing, we wrote our initials on the drop bag and hers were AJR, this one guy I was in a play with would have loved that. But anyways, we dropped the bag and she forgot the main basket when walking back, we held our hands together for the Our Father prayer and then went up to receive communion. We went back and handed out newspapers and AJR got tanked by Tapper for what she’s doing. After a wait I showed her how to lock the doors. I walked home and then took a shower before going to sleep.

Song of the Day: I’m Ready - AJR (2013)
August 4th, 2025: Back to volunteering for today, I woke up at 6:00am but only got out of bed at 6:45am. I finished off my gallon of milk with some cereal and went on my laptop for a good amount of time before getting dressed in my black dress pants with the almost too small belt and the long sleeved blue and white plaid button-up. While getting up from the couch, I accidentally knocked my coffee over and it spilled on the carpet, meaning I had to wipe it out a couple of times. I got on the bus at 8:02am and took it to where I volunteered. Portia let me into the place I needed to get my laptop and the card printer. I brewed the coffee at 8:35am and then had some while I waited for the Monday office meeting to start. I sat in the corner where the CEO would be and the Latinx lady told us:
“We’re ordering fruit bouquets for when the CEO comes back, and when he walks in I’m gonna play this song.”
It was the “We Did It” song from Dora the Explorer. There was a new employee with us whom I will be calling Joy. We had to introduce ourselves to her when we spoke. A few people in the CEO arrived and the Latinx lady played the song. I transcribed his conversation here:
“...So we're walking and I was like 95° and the CEO is like noting that rehab is going to be mean.” - Latinx Lady
“Yeah, it was really good to be here. I'm really thankful. Today it was a little longer 'cause I had to fill paperwork workouts so the Sandy D board could meet and suck me free. And so we filled the paperwork out and I only have two more sessions, uhm but they warned me. He said: no, we're going to test you beyond your prescription just to see where I'm at. So a transition: they're going to beat me up on Tuesday and Thursday. They're a really good crew. It's where you taught me to be grateful this whole time. All the work I did prior to all that because of family history and whatnot. It really does pay, so if your doctor tells you to do something, you know, I'm trying to do it. It's what quality of your life and so it worked out really well. Every day I get more and more grateful. Uhm and part of it, a large part of it actually is all you guys. This is the first crew. that I've taken over to reset and rebuild, where I have not had to bring anybody from my own network. No nobody, no friends, no network, no nothing. We had what, 15 went down the 9, and we up to what, 41. So it's all of you guys, really. You know that cliche that you make your boss look good? It is actually true. Do you guys make us look really good? I'll tell you a contrast. I was trying to think about what I could actually tell you guys today about transparency, about Washington DC, so I'm gonna take just a little extra minutes here just to talk about this. I thought about the biggest contrast we had two and a half years ago when I went to DC. And we were at the same hotel in the same location. And everybody was wondering, what the heck is going on with [company]? And this time we're around, two things happened that made me realize how good you guys are. And as the first thing was, the president of [5 letter acronym] is [name], he came up to me and he said: ‘Yeilxáak, we really want you to say something.’ And I go: ‘What do you want?’ He goes: ‘You just say something.’ say something, me? They didn’t even tell me what? Because they knew whatever I would say is probably something good. And so I waited for an opportunity and I talked about it. We have an obligation to be stewards with the money that we've been given. And it's the same thing with the community and the board here, they are giving us resources, and we're doing a really good job. This table is not big enough for us. and other places are letting people go, and that's because the hard work you guys are doing. The ideas you guys are giving me. I mean, I could come up with a bunch of ideas, but it's not as strong as a solution that's in this room. So keep the ideas coming. And then also the refinement of it, like Zach A I'm going to pick on you a little bit here. We were discussing just before I left, that we really need to figure out when we should activate the [program] and the first thing Zach A said: ’well, we can't do any of the [program] for the grants that are continuing.’ Because we thought some of the grants were going to go away and they didn't go away, so, some got expanded. But that's really for fun, coming from the group instead of me saying that, we're talking about compliance. We can't really have conflict adventures. So although our f first service ideas like [job thing] are really good, we got [3 letter acronym], we got MG. So [job thing] is probably not going to occur the way we thought. There might be some gaps that we could fill there, but I think we're going to be busy with gaps in [3 letter acronym], especially [3 letter acronym], because [3 letter acronym] is going to continue going until 2027 when they're going to decide a new funding regime, which I think is probably going to be okay, it's just my thoughts. It's just speculation. But why everything's dependent on what the government wants to say. But that is a really good indication that we're actually participating, that all of your ideas filter up through Zach A and Lillehammer and [name] and [name] and Latinx lady. So keep those ideas coming. We can't rest on that. We just need to keep on pushing forward. So and then the second thing that was really significant was. And these are little gestures, but they mean a lot. For example, when [Star Wars character last name lol], one of the top financial people from [3 letter acronym] here, I came here to drill me personally to find out where I was at with financial management knowledge and whatnot. He had given an admonishment saying that when people come and audit, they're not your friend. They may act friendly, but they're not your friend. volunteering information, you don't need to, just to answer what they ask and it's good advice. But when you do get some true gestures of friendship from those type of people that says a lot, and when you get to the level that where I'm at and where the Latinx Lady is entering into, you start to understand when somebody's just being friendly to do their job, to try to find out things, and you find out when they're actually being friendly, because they have a relationship with you. And so there were indications of that between us and [5 letter acronym for government program], [company], and us. And it usually goes through leadership, once again, to Skinder and the crew, we're talking to other people. And while they had to go, let's say they had to talk to Halloween, they would come by me, but they would actually put their arm on my shoulder and just give a tap. While they're talking to somebody else. That is not in a monitoring mode, and that gesture says a lot, because there's other presidents and other executives, there are presidents watching. I’m like: ‘Wow, you know there's something going on there's something nice.’ And so, just keep in mind those words, I said, we have an obligation to be stewards, so money was given to us. So where does that translate here? I don't just keep on doing what you're doing. Fill out your time cards truthfully. Make sure when you work remotely, you produce an artifact so that we can actually prove that we actually did the work that we're billing for. And then when your managers ask, what did you do during this day and this week and whatnot? That is not a personal thing. That's a compliance thing, because how it works is, you do the work personally, you fill your time cards, you're being truthful and honest. And then your managers have to verify they do oversight and have to do function, ask certain questions and document. And then those get reviewed by the higher ups of the directors. And then when all of that gets done and we do a bill, I actually take a look at it from a whole standpoint and approve all the things that are going on. So there's a lot of stuff on my screen that I look at a lot, a lot of things I have to look at at night. So it makes it quicker when you guys have everything in a row. It makes it reviews for a really quick. So it's nothing personal. You guys are doing really good there. I'm really glad that we have an opportunity. I think we still have, you and I have still unpacked all the news, we have from [2 letter acronym]. So probably when I get back from my time off, I'm going to be in Alaska for two weeks. I starting on the 10th. I want to come back for the first Monday. I'll probably have had some interactions with the Latinx Lady and the other directors to try to give a really, as much as possible to move methodical resolve or funding. It's looking pretty good. I mean, there's nothing scary going on right now. It's typical. But it's going to cause us to shift people around and make sure that we utilize everybody that we have as much as possible. So I'll remind you, as a closer for what I'm saying today, and that is all my decisions so far are based on performance and alignment, which means if you want to be here or not. And then, of course, funding, most of the other RAs, the uhh priority switches just funding and nothing else. So, we're a really good spot. The [program] stuff, especially for [process of client] and [endgoal] that looks promising. I think [5 letter acronym for government program], a little bit of tidbit I can give there, there, looking to expand things there. So they want to be a resource for all the RAs doing legal services, like a clearing house. I can’t give cheers, but more out on a national level, so they want to do that. They used to do it, but now they're returning to it, so that's a good sign. How many people do they have back? Four?” - CEO

(POST SPLIT IN MULTIPLE PARTS DUE TO WORD COUNT)
August 4th, 2025 (Continued): “They hired four people back.” - Latinx Lady
“So that's another good sign. So little indications like that. So keep up the good work and try to have us much fun doing work as you can and if they have any anxiety, uhm just concentrate on the things you can do, talk to your coworkers about what that is and describe it, helping your coworkers see what they have to do, and that’ll help you get through some of the anxiety. Anxiety comes from worrying about the future and things out of your control. There's a lot of stuff out of our control, but we'll do our best. Sometimes just ask some question will dump anxiety, so go ahead and dump it our way, that's my job. So I'll take as much as I can from. But any questions on what I just talked about for [5 letter acronym for government program]? Any? I could probably answer some questions immediately. Any concern about funding or what's going on in the news, regarding what we do? A lot of weird stuff's going on. Lots of weird stuff.” - CEO

“It's become normal. That's a good point. Well, I think the part that really bothers me the most is that people are getting caught in a wake of trying to make sure that we process people properly either. If they're criminals or not, the whole point of due process is the key thing that we need to watch out for. When we do advocacy work, we can see where it's the first thing that we have to say, please show up, you know the representative, senators, please show up and do duty to protect due process, and due process will give people a chance to actually protect themselves. So definitely stuff. I had never seen that since the 1970s, I experienced it personally, in the '70s, so you guys bought that if you want, pretty heartwrenching. Uh, Any other comments or questions? You don't even have to have a question, you can just make a comment, and I'll comment on the comment. Do you have anything you want to read?” - CEO
“What of our future for [2 letter acronym]?” - Unknown
“I think [2 letter acronym] is. When I talked to [5 letter acronym for government program], they said that supplementals are very questionable. And the reason why is that the supplements usually carry forward money and it's been carried forward so many times. It's getting harder and harder to justify carrying this forward, and especially with these professional times, it probably makes it near impossible. So I think the Latinx Lady said it the best: what that means for us, though, is that instead of us getting additional money, it just returns to the base. Our base minimum for our contracts. So they're giving us a base minimum for our contracts. We already have the [3 letter acronym] for the base, for [2 letter acronym] and [2 letter acronym], which is kind of confusing because they're highly dependent on [3 letter acronym] arrivals. So the whole arrival thing is up in the air, just to be totally straightforward with that, the arrival system overseas has been totally dismantled. I would actually say, because where's the betting? Where are the travel plans? Where is the processing to make sure people get in there? We don't think there's 12,000 that we're in the pipeline, and they just got stuck. And I think there were approximately 900 for [5 letter acronym for government program] that have the possibility of coming here if the travel stuff can be done, [3 letter acronym]s can already come, if they can travel on their own. And there've been some good ideas about maybe the community you could fund them to come here. That'd be a cool thing. And that would give us [2 letter acronym] slots in [2 letter acronym] and that kind of thing. But they'd have to come here.. So it all depends on where they're at where they're US ties, and whether they want to come here at Good question. So F26, which will start October 1st, until September 30, 2026, we do have [3 letter acronym], but we did put a budget together for [3 letter acronym], which is a vase awards. We haven't heard from [4 letter acronym]. And then we also submitted for this state program, for [6 letter acronym] and [6 letter acronym] so what that means is that [4 letter acronym] will probably have to premerge with [6 letter acronym], so we have to see that with directors and then to figure out how that would happen. Same thing with [5 letter acronym] [place] legal, that we have ordered that. So October 1st, the award continues, so those clients also will have to go to [4 letter acronym]. Funding for those programs, which is the supplement, are secure until June 30th, 2026. What's going to happen after that? We have to figure it out. So I know it's like a year from now, but since now we are thinking how we're gonna help all those clients that will still need hope from us. So, nobody's gonna. We won't be busy. We're closing the program and you'll be here. I don't. We are finding ways to keep helping them because right now [3 letter acronym] is in a problem. Three parols are also no problem, so imagine if you'd like them without advice. and especially all the arrivals through the [3 letter acronym] program, if we don't help them here, who else can they help them? We have been receiving home holds and people have reached out for [what we do] to basically a list of attorneys and nobody is gonna take them because [what we do] takes forever. So the private sector is not interested in those clients, so that's why we have Lillehammer and the legal team working party to take those clients and they're doing a very good job. So that helped from the to continue because we figured out the funding if you worry about how to provide the services and what other services that science may need. Since we don't deal with them on a regular basis, you know, I do see clients when I pass one way or the other one, but if you guys know anything that they may need, anything else that they made resources, just let us know. We want to continue to. If any of you want to actually get interested in your and move towards processing, immigration and naturalization services or any kind of legal services, tell your supervisor, and then you guys will have a discussion with that because you know, that is probably the area that's gonna continue to grow. There is a lot of need there, we have to navigate what we can and can't do. But there is definitely a need there. It is logical to move forward. [5 letter acronym for government program] is validating that. I guess another bit of good news could tell you about this, and that is at this retreat where it was all the presents that the executive directors, and other significantly used within those RAs, the whole purpose, the main purpose of that retreat was to get people to start thinking about what else can we do for our clients and how can we move to [program] and, you know, trying to make sense of all that? We've already been doing it for a year and a half. So we were ahead of the game in our thought process. So there's also a lot of venting that goes on there where people speak really freely, where you know, remember, I always say we have to be neutral. Well, this is a time and place where at the [5 letter acronym for government program], the executive retreated for us to just be. So, just just been. And so a lot of them invented and they got mad. I'll tell you exactly what they said. They don't like that it seems like some of the populations they're trying to lecture is a slap in the face. And the unaccompanied minors are being more. There's more being created because of people being detained, like got the. What's going on?...” - CEO

(POST SPLIT IN MULTIPLE PARTS DUE TO WORD COUNT)
August 4th, 2025 (Continued): “Yeah. So, many of you may know one of the options for people who have had long pending applications with [5 letter acronym for government program], we will sometimes do congressional inquiries, meaning that we will reach out to the clients. Congress person or their representative, we will do and we basically ask the representatives to do an inquiry with [5 letter acronym for government program], and help advocate for them. One of those staff representatives from Florida named Bryan G Steil. And his office was able to help us with an inquiry at one point, a few years ago. I don't know if any of you watched the news, but he recently had a listening session with his constituents. It's down near, I think, Walworth County near Whitewater. And basically, people expressed a lot of frustration with his representation of people in Wisconsin, the issues that are happening with ICE, where, you, ICE is coming in and raiding places, they're all wearing masks, they're not identifying it for themselves. And so his constituents did a good job of advocating for themselves. They said, you know, he's no longer representative of Wisconsin, because he is basically complicit in what's happening with ICE. And so I thought that was really impactful because his office has helped us, you know, do these inquiries, but at the same time, there are these issues that are happening with his representation of the Wisconsin people within the federal government. And so if you see things like that on the news, you know, I think it's just indicative that there are, the people are frustrated by what we're seeing on the news every day. People are frustrated by our federal representatives, not basically not standing up for what's right and letting these very inhumane treatment of people, regardless of if they’re immigrants, U.S. citizens, ICE is impacting everyone, as we've seen from reports. And so just know that, you know, people are continuing to advocate for the groups and the populations that we work with. And so I was very happy to see what had happened at the listening session, that there are groups of people that are saying this is not right. And and are, you know, standing up for the inhumane treatment of our clients, so if you watch that listening question, it was a good watch because it really expressed the frustration that I'm feeling right now. So I would encourage all of you to take a look at that and what happened at the listening session I can do was either over this past weekend or last weekend at some point.” - Lillehammer
“I saw it and it made me proud to be a Wisconsin person, because sometimes you feel like your neighbors aren’t speaking up for you, but they are. “One of the best ways to actually win an argument is not to argue, but actually to live your truth. So what Lillehammer's talking about is we just do our work, we move the truth, and that speaks louder than trying to argue with somebody, because in this case here, people who are arguing, and they've already decided that we're wrong. You're not going to change your mind. So along the way to actually combat that kind of thing is to actually profess the truth, and the best way to profess the truth is to actually do actions around that truth show that shows results, which eventually it will and it takes time. I'm going to try to give you guys some hope. What we're seeing is history repeating itself within the United States. It's not widely known. But just as recently as the 1970s, there were big efforts to actually take children from Native American moms, just because they said that Native American moms could not take care of kids. And they were profiles just by the color of the skin. Also, in the ‘70s and ‘80s or in the ‘60s and '70s, lots of laws were passed if you wore Native American colors, you would go to jail. And not are you a citizen, they would just sweep up and you go to jail. No questions asked, just you're gone. So the reason I'm talking about that is that I have great faith in our country to self correct. It's like a big giant sine wave. We did get through that. It took a lot of what Lillehammer just talked about, you work the process. You force the issue, you make the people who are making decisions have to make a decision. And then you get out there and show off the community is supporting, you know, so you give opportunities for your neighbors to support. That's why I think [company] is so important is that we have a place here where people could donate to take care of [clients] and the [people]. So we'll just keep on doing that.” - CEO

Once we continued around. I spoke and introduced myself to Joy telling her my role. After the discussion had ended this one girl came up to me and said:
“Gemerson are you gonna be going part time?”
I told her yes. I continued with my work and talked with the others before Lillehammer told me she wants me to meet her in her office at 11:00am because the meeting ended early. Someone already made Joy a name tag so I didn’t have to do that. I walked over to Lillehammer’s office to start making her spreadsheet, the whole jist of it was just making a paper form into a spreadsheet by copying the items from paper to digital. I got that done and heard Tia talking something I could care less about. I went to the pizza place for lunch and ate some spinach and feta pizza there. I had to use a fork and knife because feta isn’t a good cheese for pizza. I got back and helped set up 6 Microsoft Surface Pro’s (the pricetag on those things makes me an ardent ThinkPad fanboy) and brought those all over to Seth M’s office, I talked with Kiana and Keke a bit until I finally left to go back to talk to Seth M, he told me I could leave early, I saw Helly R talking to Harmony C and said bye to both of them and caught the bus home. When I got home I folded a few more pieces of laundry on the carpet in preparation for James coming back. I made some ramen for dinner and threw in this tuna that expired on February 1st, 2025 into the pot along with the vegetable bouillon substitution. I ate it all sadly, taking in the taste of the tuna mostly with some other stuff. I had ice cream for dessert and then took a shower before going to sleep.

“All right, he's coming back. You need one for you and one for the baby!” - Latinx Lady

August 5th, 2025: Final day of volunteering today. I woke up at 6:45am and finished off the last of my coconut flavored coffee creamer. For my breakfast I had 2 slices of toast, 1 with blackberry jam and 1 with vegemite on it. Coffee was just the last of the sugar free french vanilla creamer. I got on the bus at 7:45am exactly and sat near the back next to the Jewish guy I’ve seen one time before with his green leather bag with gold embroidered Hebrew text (no niqqud on it) and sat across from him, I saw that he got off at the same stop as he did last time. But I finally got off at my stop and walked into my building. I went up to my floor and came in at the same time as Seth M so I was let into his office and took the card printer, some cords, and my work laptop obviously. I went to my spot and set up before heading over to start the coffee machine today and started it up. When I went to get coffee from the breakroom I saw Staples there unlike yesterday.
“Hey Staples, where were you yesterday?”
I asked.
“I went to Texas for my niece’s 1st birthday.”
She replied.
“Oh what was it like?”
“It was ok, but I don’t really like Texans, they’re so rude.”
“What do you mean?”
“Like they’re super aggressive drivers.”
After that she had to go work on her backlog of tasks. I continued doing nothing when I encountered Zach A showing this new intern around and he asked me to make him an ID card, I took his picture on my iPhone, emailed it to my work email, and then created the card for him, he was informed that when printing double sided, you should always put the blank side down. Another employee said that he lost his card and wanted me to print him a new one so I took his extender and used it to print the 2 cards. I gave him the block for my charger so he could charge his phone. I turned on my home laptop and logged into my university’s course scheduler and took a picture of it. I didn’t have Seth M’s phone number so I went around asking if anybody knew where he was. I couldn’t find him on the floor where the event was or on our floor. Kiana tried calling him but I informed her that he was out of office when Ahwahn told me he was running to Best Buy to get something. I went to where the Daeguite worked and asked her and she had no clue. I talked with her a bit more about these 2 Catholic events I frequent on Tuesday and Thursday and she said she would be interested in attending them (lie). Seth M came back a while later but I didn’t ask for his phone number yet. While I was walking around doing my IT checks, I saw that at one printer, there was a copy of this tenant agreement between Keke, Kiana, and Joy. I went up to Kiana and told her:
“By the way, you left your apartment agreement on the printer!”
She went over to pick it up and said it must have been Joy’s doing. A bit later I found Joy in Portia’s office and told her about it, she said Kiana talked to her already. Makeke was here and they wanted me to help set up for the event by moving food down. Elon and the guy with his arm in a sling heated up the macaroni and cheese in glass bowls in the microwave. We then had to grab some metal plates for the schwarma and then went downstairs where, Makeke, Joy, and I worked on cutting them in half and sorting them, whoever was responsible for the catering order clearly couldn’t spell or write because the tops of the styrofoam boxes had either ‘Yiro’ or ‘Riro’ written on a lot of them in a hard to see pink marking. The guy in the armsling got those cut up and then some of the people speaking were coming in, at 12:30pm we took a group picture of the volunteers and got into our seats, I sat in a row with the new intern and Seth M while we went through the 4 speakers, I was honestly extremely bored during it and tried to discretely rest as best I could. Afterward was the good part, what I’ve been setting up for, the food, I got in line a bit late but got some sea salt and vinegar potato chips, a shawarma wrap, a can of Coca-Cola, some macaroni and cheese, and a cookie, I stood at a table with Seth M and we talked about my schedule and what days would work. Staples was standing with Keke and Kiana and I walked around a bit to talk to others, like these two people, one guy looked like a moderate Muslim politician in some relatively stable Middle Eastern country and an Indian guy, they were clearly friends from before and from different organizations, they talked about what they did with me and then the Muslim guy showed the other guy something on his phone he found so hilarious that people were asking if it was AI generated. He showed it to me and it was a link he found on BlueSky about the United States government wanting to build a nuclear reactor on the moon. I found it outlandish. Eventually we left and I headed back up to do nothing before clocking out a bit early at 4:15pm. I needed to pick up some focus pills so I had to take an alternate bus route and hopped on at 4:30pm only to instantly hear Shay was on the bus, you could hear her loudly talking all the way in the back, she would sometimes break out singing some rap song, I was so glad when Shay got off which made things so much more relaxing, doing her weird walk when she got off. I got off at the pharmacy to grab my medicine, I paid for it and then decided to buy a pore strip which costs me $6.00. While I was walking home I saw two women do the finger wag wave thing, not again. Back at the apartment I did a little cleaning and unscrewed the top of the shower drain to find a lot of hair. I scooped a lot of that out and then brought out the vacuum to put the detached hose on top of the drain, it smelled quite a bit so I poured a bit of baking soda and next vinegar down the drain, I washed my hands after that. I discovered an artist named Isao Tomita and listened to his many covers of classical songs. I had some ramen for dinner and then I finally got a text from my mom about the camping trip:
<What time can we pick you up on Friday the 22nd? Thinking of going up to Door County.
I told her when we would be heading back. I took a shower and then went to sleep at 11:50am.
